Is a moisture test required on all floors?

It is important and strongly recommended that concrete subfloors always be moisture tested. The calcium chloride test is the industry standard, at present. Moisture readings should be taken in all other flooring. High moisture can destroy a beautiful floor and be expensive to repair. Consult a flooring professional before installing your next floor.

Does vaccuming harm carpeting?

Carpets should be vacuumed at least once a week. Dirt left in carpets, and then walked on repeatedly, will cause premature wear. Vacuuming a carpet at the incorrect setting will do damage over time. Take care to read the vacuum's manual for setting pile levels. Also, read the carpet manufacturer's warrantee.
